Recaps of events as a campus student

 Life in Campus is the most dramatic codes of events to be explored .Its like "Natural Selection" previously learnt in biology, only the strongest to survive. At first I found it boring only to be proven wrong in the end. Even so, it is a life chapter not to be ignored .(Important phase of life )

To start with ,the first day of admission at Technical university of Mombasa was total hell on earth ,it was so hot putting into consideration the fact that coming  from Nairobi a cool place to a school above sea level was a challenge set forward. However, "who was Phyllis not to conquer ? " .There's always that happiness of studying in Mombasa come to think of it at that moment where any advice on changing the campus fell into deaf ears .

Taking mass communication lessons were fairly distributed through the week there was always enough time to familiarize with the place .

Security is also an essential part of learning as a student I always make sure I'm in the correct place at the right time to avoid "vituko" drama .Always advisable to avoid being at stupid places with stupid people at stupid times ,the end results is regrets .Living at a far distance to where the school is strategizing my work was very important thus making sure I arrived at classes on time .I had to Cross the Nyali bridge each day I had a lesson .Accompanied by other students who took learning positively.

As time went forth , seeing my fellow students take "chapo beans " a common type of food for lunch I was surprised .Taking the meal was not a problem but over and over each day.There are other staple food but students opted for this .

Unfortunately, the weather condition was a major obstacles I started having acne due to harsh weather condition my skin was so dehydrated . I was at a point of lowering my self-esteem though no one seemed to notice .Above all, adapting became part of me .I kept on saying to myself one must evolve .Studies went on so well ,getting As' and Bs' became part of me .Acne was not a tragedy with snapchat by my side .Soon enough started to apply sunscreen and all was well .

Having few friends in campus was an advice that I took keen of.It was and always have been nice for one to know her circle well . Hanging around with friends that are too proud of there family money might make you feel like campus is not your place of belonging thus causing one to fake their lifestyle .Thats when you might start to hear some students became ' thieves ' . 

At a beginning level not eating one meal day seemed awkward but as days went by taking one meal a day became a routine .

Team work is always essential in sharing of ideas thus instilling knowledge .That act of staying alone ,deciding what to eat, budgeting for the money before use knowing how to stand up for oneself that is the real life of campus there's more outside learning than educational learning .Like its so called "Mtihani wa maisha " Life testing.

It is always appealing that the way I started it has ended in happiness  more knowledge ,awareness and creativity building .I'm counting days to close the final semester and that is a journey well fought .
